Our group is creating tutorials for creating a classroom website using Weebly. This free software is easy to use and contains a variety of features. Each member of our group chose specific features to highlight and explain using screencasts. I am responsible for explaining all of the elements of the basic tool bar. They include creating multiple columns, adding text, and pictures. I also discuss how to embed custom html. The other members of my group are explaining how to create an account, publish a site, add new pages, add a blog, and use the multimedia elements.
We have created a Weebly site of our own to share our work for this project: msuteachingweebly.weebly.com This also allows us a central location for sharing our videos and classroom websites we have personally created. Each member of the group will be adding tutorials to the site covering their assigned topics. Once finished we will have created a centralized location for teachers interested in learning more about how to use this technology.
